Step Out Sheffield Disclaimer

Just the usual disclaimer - you use this site at your own risk. We do not give any guarantee about the quality of the information supplied, except that it is accurate to the best of our knowledge and understanding. If you find anything which is wrong, inaccurate or misleading, please let us know.

Whilst we make every effort to ensure routes are correct and accessible to most people, we cannot guarantee that the route will be safe for you. Most of these routes have been walked and risk assessed by the volunteer walk leaders, but if you find any obstructions or hazards along the route, please let us know.

You are especially responsible for ensuring your own safety when crossing roads or walking along the side of the road, crossing railways and stiles, or walking through or near water. Walking for Health provide limited insurance cover for official walks, but anybody using these walks other than as part of an official walk does so entirely at their own risk.

If you are unfit or unwell, you should consult your doctor before walking or any other exercise. If you suffer from any potentially serious problems, you should ensure the walk leader is aware before starting.

All routes shown are believed to be public or permissive rights of way. If you are approached by anybody claiming you have no right to be following a route, please ask their assistance in identifying where you should be, and report back to us. We will take it up with the Public Rights of Way officer on your behalf. Most farmers and landowners welcome well behaved walkers who respect the countryside, and a friendly response will usually be all it takes to sort out any problems.
